Good to know
Small answers before the big batch.
Can it remove several words?
Yes. Enter comma-separated whole words or phrases. Matching is case-insensitive and the preview updates immediately.
Can it shorten names without changing extensions?
Yes. Shorten each word to a chosen letter count, cap the complete final stem, or use both. The extension is never counted or shortened.
Can it number a whole batch automatically?
Yes. Enable Auto Numbering, choose the starting number, one to four digits, and before/after placement. The current list order controls the sequence and the live preview shows every result.
Can it rename MP4 and other video files?
Yes. MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM, WMV, M4V, MPEG/MPG, MTS/M2TS, TS, VOB, OGV, 3GP, and 3G2 use the complete rename workflow.
Can it replace existing audio metadata?
No. Artist, Title, Album, Genre, Year, and Comment are fill-only. Existing values remain locked.
Why might Windows show a publisher warning?
The direct website installer is not yet code-signed. Download it only from spectral-colors.com and verify the SHA-256 value if needed.
